What is Marchtoberfest?

Wilmington, North Carolina’s Spring Beer Festival presented by ILMBeer takes place at the Wilmington Convention Center on Saturday March 7th, 2020 from 1pm-5pm. Marchtoberfest features 40+ North Carolina breweries, German-style beer, German food, German music, and games! Plus, each General Admission ticket holder will be entered to win a Trip for Two to Oktoberfest 2020 in Munich, Germany (airfare, hotel, and Oktoberfest entry included). VIP Ticket holders will ALSO be entered to win a Trip for Two to Oktoberfest 2020 in Munich, Germany (airfare, hotel, and Oktoberfest entry included) from the pool of VIP ticket holders. Festival goers and breweries alike are encouraged to wear Oktoberfest costumes to this unique celebration of craft beer on the coast of North Carolina.
When is Marchtoberfest?
Marchtoberfest takes place on March 7th, 2020 with VIP entry beginning at 1pm and General Admission from 2pm to 5pm.
Marchtoberfest is a celebration of Frühlingsfest, or Springfest, that takes place in Munich. This festival is also known as Oktoberfest’s little sister and features German beer tents, music, food and games just in time for warmer Spring weather and lighter, easy drinking Spring beers.
Where is Marchtoberfest?
Marchtoberfest takes place in the Wilmington Convention Center on the banks of the Cape Fear River. Voted as one of America’s best cities for beer drinkers by smartasset.com, Wilmington, NC has a rich craft beer culture in a unique coastal environment with plenty of craft beer-related activities year-round.
How much does it cost?
Tickets to Marchtoberfest are $40 for General Admission and $55 for VIP Beer Hall Experience. Tickets can be purchased here.
Will there be 1 Liter steins?
No. Marchtoberfest offers unlimited tastings in 5oz tasting mugs from over 40 NC craft breweries.
Are children allowed?
No. Festival attendees must be 21 or older.
Will food be available?
Yes. For general admission ticket holders, German-style food will be available for purchase. VIP tickets include German food in the VIP Beer Hall area.
Is parking available?
Limited parking is available at the Wilmington Convention Center parking deck for the $13 daily rate. Taxi’s and ride shares are strongly encouraged.
